These terms apply to Print Ready and its website, ChatGPT plugin, model files and public part pages. By using Print Ready, you agree to these terms and acknowledge the privacy policy. Contact us through support with questions.

Using Print Ready

Print Ready gives an AI assistant tools to create OpenSCAD models, render previews, export STL files and keep a model library. Production rendering requires a Print Ready account. You also need access to a compatible ChatGPT experience. OpenAI operates ChatGPT separately under its own terms. Print Ready is not made or endorsed by OpenAI.

You must be at least 13, or the higher minimum age required where you live. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian, who must agree to these terms. Use is subject to applicable law, export restrictions and sanctions, and the availability of ChatGPT in your location.

Print Ready is currently free and does not collect payment details. We may introduce paid features in the future where platform rules permit. We will present any charges and applicable terms before you choose them, and will not charge you without your agreement. Your separate ChatGPT plan and other third-party charges are outside Print Ready.

Keep your account secure. Enter passwords and verification codes only on the AWS-hosted sign-in page, never in a chat, design or support message. Do not share private model access links or tokens with people you do not intend to give access.

Your designs and files

You retain your rights in the material you submit. As between you and Print Ready, Print Ready does not claim ownership of your generated parts or model files. This does not guarantee that AI-generated material qualifies for copyright or is unique, and it does not remove anyone else's intellectual-property rights.

You give Print Ready permission to process and store your submissions and outputs to provide, secure, troubleshoot and improve the service, as described in the privacy policy. You must have the rights needed to submit the content and to use, print or share the result. Do not submit confidential information you are not authorized to disclose to this service.

Shared parts

Selecting Share authorizes Print Ready to publish the selected model's files on a public page. Anyone with the link can view and download them. You are responsible for checking the files and their contents before sharing. Sharing does not automatically grant a particular copyright license to recipients. Downloaders must obtain any permissions needed for their intended use.

You can select Stop sharing or delete the original model to remove its public snapshot. Files already downloaded by others cannot be recalled. Report infringing, unsafe or abusive shared parts through support with the public link and enough detail to investigate.

Check every part before use

AI-generated designs can contain errors. A successful render or an STL file does not establish fit, strength, printability, durability or safety. Review dimensions and geometry in your slicer. Use fit tests where needed and inspect the printed result. Printer calibration, material, orientation, settings and loads affect the result.

Print Ready does not certify or engineer parts for safety-critical uses. Do not rely on its output for medical use, structural support, protective equipment or other situations where failure could injure someone or cause substantial damage. Obtain qualified review where the intended use requires it.

Acceptable use

Use Print Ready lawfully and follow OpenAI's applicable usage policies when using it through ChatGPT. Do not use it to create weapons or illegal goods, infringe others' rights, harass people, transmit secrets or regulated personal information, attack the service, run malicious code, bypass limits, or access another person's private designs. Do not create accounts to evade render limits.

Availability, limits and deletion

Rendering and storage have limits. Jobs may fail, and service interruptions may occur. We may change limits or suspend access when needed to prevent abuse, address security issues or comply with law. Keep your own copies of files you need; Print Ready is not a guaranteed archival service.

The privacy policy explains retention and deletion. You can request model deletion through the assistant and account-data deletion through support. Disconnecting the plugin does not erase stored files. If we discontinue the service, we will provide notice and an opportunity to export saved models where reasonably possible.

Warranties and responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, Print Ready and its outputs are provided as available, without warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability or non-infringement. You are responsible for deciding whether a design and the printed part are appropriate for their intended use.

To the extent permitted by law, Brian Hockenmaier is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of Print Ready or its outputs. These terms do not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded or limit mandatory consumer rights.

Operator and applicable law

Brian Hockenmaier operates Print Ready from California, United States. California law governs these terms, subject to any mandatory rights and protections that apply where you live. These terms do not require arbitration or waive access to a court or regulator where the law provides it.

Changes and contact

Changes to these terms will be posted here with an updated effective date. Material changes will be communicated before they take effect where required. For support, privacy requests or a dispute, use the support form.
